Why, specifically, did the woman's heart give out in Kate Chopin's "The Story of an Hour"? Please explain in one well-developed paragraph with a topic sentence and direct support from the story (with in-text citations--no Works Cited page necessary).

Mrs. Mallard heart gave out, because she was shocked by seeing her husband. She was so happy that she was going to have a free life after her husband's death. I guess she was in a very unhappy marriage. When she got the news of her husband, it was like a weight was lifted off her chest. Mrs. Mallard was free from body and soul. She sometimes loved him and often had not. She had heart trouble and after going downstairs, she saw her husband come in the door that she had a heart attack. The thought of him being alive and living with him for many for years was just over coming for her to handle. She died of a heart disease.
Josephine's heart gave out due to "heart disease". I believe her heart stopped because she was so overwhelmed with the joy of being free. "Free! Body and soul free!", is what she said to herself. I think she made herself over excited when she was thinking about all the possible things she could do now that "There would be no one to live for during those coming years; she would live for herself." It seems like Josephine is very excited because she won't have anyone to keep her from doing as she pleases or to hold her back.
I believe that the woman’s heart gave out from seeing some sort of “holy figure”—something along the lines of Jesus or maybe even God’s face. One point that led me to believe that she saw something holy was her uncontrollable whispering of the word “free”. The mention of free could signify freedom from the troubles of the world (bills, crime, work, etc.), as seeing Jesus usually means the end of one’s life and passing into heaven. (Later in the story, she even adds to her whisper: “Free! Body and soul free!”) Another point of interest was her “vacant stare and the look of terror”. This specific look leads me to believe that it might have been God because there’s something in the Bible along the lines of “every knee shall fall” at the sight of Him because of His awesome power. Even though this woman did not fall, she did show that she both loved, yet feared this figure. Last, this figure “creeped out of the sky”. Obviously, this is related to Jesus as Heaven is usually said to be in the clouds. (Heaven is in the clouds and Hell is under the ground, possibly Hell is the Earth’s molten core.)
It seems that their marriage wasn't very good and possibly had physical abuse. I feel that Mrs. Mallard died from the shock of seeing her husband standing in her house after being told he was killed in a railroad disaster.
Mrs. Mallard heart gave out, because of a heart disease. I think her heart gave out because she saw her husbands face. She was so happy about him not being here anymore that it seemed like she was in a bad marriage. she kept embrassing the fact that she was free, free from her husband and free from everthing. When she saw her husbands face after feeling free i believe that her heart just gave out, because she was in shock.
Mrs. Mallard's heart was weak and already damaged. She had heart disease, a deadly disease that kills. She seemed to be happy that it was finally over. She was unhappy, for the most part. When she found out her husband died, it seemed that a weight had been lifted off of her. Now she can do as she wanted to, and live life for herself.
The reason i think Josephine Mallards heart went out was due to the horrible marriage she was in. She was terrified and fell into her sisters comfort. She sees something beautiful in being free. She kept wispering opon it. "Some one was opening the front door with a latchkey. It was Brently Mallard who entered, a little travel-stained, composedly carrying his grip-sack and umbrella." was the best line of this short story.
I believe that Josephine's heart gave out due to "heart disease". I think the stress from the accident that she thought that her husband was in and died from contributed to her death at the end of the story. It seemed to me that she wasn't very happy in her marriage to her husband because she kept expressing the thought that she was free for many years to come. she also stated in the story that she only "sometimes" had love for her husband.
I think she died because she felt so relieve that when she first found out that her husband died . Whatever her and her husband went through she must have a rough marriage and when died she just knew that all her troubles was over and she could relax and have less stress even though she has that heart disease. Then when come to find out that he was living that had messed her all up and it made her think back to when they was married and all the stress that she went through.
